Texan_Til_I_Die
OK, Wally World put them on sale for $30 and I snagged a couple. Went out to the ranch over the weekend and decided to give them a try. It was early Saturday morning and we were on the edge of a 200 acre field that just been sown with wheat. I walked out about 30 yards into the plowed field and set one up. I walked back to the fenceline and within 30 seconds a dove got up out of a mesquite tree and flew straight to the decoy! It also got the attention of the lab we had with us. She snapped around on point as soon as she saw it and couldn't take her eyes off it for the first 30 minutes or so! That afternoon we had quite a few birds fly right into the "spread" and land. I guess this is one gadget that really does work.

Tominator
Re: Mojo Dove LOL--yeah buddy! I got one from Cabelas not too long ago ($50, our Wally's don't carry them ) Anyway, the first morning I used it, the doves pretty much ignored it, or it actually scared them away. The next week I used it, same thing. In the morning they pretty much ignored it, but later around say after 9 a.m. they started noticing it, changing their flight patterns and actually circling it and homing in on it. Last week my buddy and I went out in the afternoon around 3:30, and I watched one bird flying down a fenceline actually make a 90 degree bank and headed right for the decoy landing in the powerline directly above me. That dove didn't even notice me until I shifted on my seat, as it flew away, out of the corner of my eye, I actually watched another dove practically land on the mojo. (I missed that bird ). My impressions of the mojo: It doesn't do too much on early morning birds that are flying off the roost, but later in the day, when they're looking for something to eat, it works very well.
