Re: bow is done for....

Cant afford to bowhunt, I spent all that money over the summer to get a bow that works and set it up like I want and had the worst luck ever with that despite spending way more money that I should have and then have thise happen not even midway of hunting season, its ridiculous I think.... Thanks for the replys though and the kind words but I dont think Im gunna go get another bow........ Couldnt afford one now if I wanted to........

Re: bow is done for....

I'm sorry to hear about your bad luck. And, I got to thinking....I've got a Bear Alaskan camo bow..I used it for 2 seasons/ can't pull the weight back anymore. It's max weight is 70#/ I put it down to about 62#. I couldn't stand the strain on my bad shoulder anymore. It is set at 30" draw length. 70% let-off. Being as you are in a bind, to help a fellow bowhunter out...I'd be willing to let this go for $65 shipped to your door, if you are in the U.S. It has a x-large peep/ kisser button/ a speed loop/ string leeches/ string tarantula's/ Limb savers. You will need to add a sight, rest and stabilizer if you use one. I paid almost $200 for the bow 3 years ago. For a fellow hunter in need, I will let it go cheap. And, it is a good bow. Let me know.

NO...don't quit bow hunting, save your money and get a bow that covered with a warranty, i promise you if you quit bow hunting the day will come that you regret that decision.

Re: bow is done for....

Fellas, I greatly appreciate your generosity in your offers and replys, really I do.... Thanks again but I dont need to be taking your stuff like that but I have decided to keep on keepin on after a day of thought on the matter.... Thanks for not lettin me give it up, Bowseason is over for now around here but October15th is the start of gunseason here and you can hunt with anything then. I am gunna be shooting the Rem 30-06 it looks like but I do intend to buy either a Bowtech or PSE at the end of this gun season so I can be ready for bowseason next year.... Also next year I fully intend to bowhunt the WHOLE season and not just bowseason know what I mean???? I figure if I go ahead and buy a good new bow with the warrenty and everything I wont have so much trouble. I bought that Browning used for 200bucks and it shot good until now but I dont reckon its so great no more so I stripped all my accessories off it (they where brand new) and Im gunna put them on my new bowtech when I get it (I say bowtech because my shop is a dealer for Bowtech, mathews, and parker.... Once again thanks and your offers are greatly appreciated, thanks alot and you fellas have a good season....-tim

PS:I wont be out of the woods long even though I dont have a bow right this minute, cus gun season here starts Saturday and I intend to be there....

Go get a new setup. If you have a good pro shop around you can get set up sighted in and be hunting tomorrow evening

I agree..Break out the plastic if need be...I could not miss a season due to lack of gear....Nope.

I have a mathews fethermax and it blew up on me when I drew back on a nice 5x5 elk two years ago. I took it to the archery shop and Mathews replaced the limbs, cables, string In 24 hours. If I were you Mathews is the way to go. Bowtec second
