A co-worker came in the other day, i knew he had been out bow hunting, i asked him how he made out, he started out by saying he had 3, lock-on stands stolen over night, they were there the day before he had them locked with cables, someone came on to his land and cut all three stands off, and they took everything except the cut cables. Every year we always have post's about tree stand theft, I just can't understand what gets into people to do this, why take 3 stands? Do they re-sale them, use the money for drugs, I just don't understand it. confused.gif Society just continues to go down hill.

Re: Just a comment about theft

All I know is the people who steal them are not "hunters" in my book. Hunters would never steal from another hunter. They are theives, low life scum, dirty rotten SOB's who someday will meet their maker and he knows what they have done.

If they have a conscience they will not steal but somehow stealing is inbedded into their bodies because they are society's low life they know no better. Trash like that sadly will be trash for life.

Sorry for ranting but it ticks me off that the honest work hard to buy stands, cameras, and other gear and some piece of *hit comes into their woods or even public lands and takes it. Get a job you stealing bums and buy a stand or game camera yourself!!!!

Sorry about your friends loss of stands, every year the low lifes come out and starting stealing!!!

Start on the soapbox.... it starts with the parents, or lack thereof. Somewhere in the upbringing, the idea that you have to earn what you have is not taught. Right vs wrong was not taught. These people never had their conscience developed.

Or, what I've heard from some of these threads, you could have a bambi lover nearby who thinks it more important to protect the deer rather than value the possessions of another.

Either way, they all are scum, and keeps me wishing for eye for an eye justice in this great nation.

Re: Just a comment about theft

That is the sole reason why I don't leave stands out in the woods on either private or public land. I don't have any high dollar stands but if one were stolen I wouldn't be able to replace it on short notice.

I agree with colescott1 it starts at their upbringing. Back when I was a kid I stole a bag of M&M's from the store. My mom asked me where I got them and I told her at the store. She new I stole them so she call the cops on me. I was 8 at the time. Lets just say when the police showed up at my door I was scared sh**less. They took me down to the store in the police car and I had to return the candy and appologize to the store owner.

It was the last time I have ever stole anything. Lesson learned.

I'll tell ya why...they are scumbags! Plain and simple. There is no excuse for them. They have probably grown up stealing all their lives. Maybe even watched mommy and daddy steal a Christmas gift for their spouse. Maybe they steal themselves a real fine gift for their wife every Christmas...nothing like the feeling you get seeing your wife open something she's has wanted for a long time that you were finally successfull in stealing. Who knows. Its a learned behavior I think. Whether they learn it from friends or relatives, or maybe just themselves. They have no concious and are always the first one to cry foul when it happens to them. Scumbags...they know who they are...I'm sure some of them may come to these forums and read these posts, but they'll just laugh about it and not even care. It benefits THEM! mad.gif They know who they are...realize they are scumbags, but don't care...they have a nice TMA certified stand to use this year. No sympathy from me. mad.gif

Amen swampy!!!!

I couldn't agree more, bunch of low life scum bags!!!

And your right they probably come on here and read our forums thinking they are hunters, if your reading this treestand/game camera/game feeders (as I had one stolen this spring) thieves, your a bunch of low life scum bags that are not hunters. Sure you buy a hunting license, its not a license to steal stands you come across in the woods, your the thorn in society that brings out the ugliness of this world. Bunch of worthless scum bags!!

Re: Just a comment about theft

yeh i hate that. last year during early bow season i decided to go hunting one day in the rain. i went to one of my lock-ons and caught 2 guys trying to take it down. the did not have any weapons so i comfronted them and found out they belonged to the hunting club across the road. well i reported them to the club owners and they kicked them out and told them never to come back again. i thought that was good.
