its all up to you and what you like, i shoot vains, and i like them, i have shot feathers in the past and cant tell much of a differance, as for accuracy i dont know if thats quit true, its all about practice, and practicing perfect with perfect form and trying to use the same form everytime....as for pointers, try practicing out of a treestand if possible, i first year bow hunting i got a big surprise when found its a lot differant shooting from 30 feet in the air and being on the ground...have fun, and good luck!

Re: ARROWS

This is what I have been told are the differeneces between vanes and feathers. Vanes will stabilize the arrow faster but they fall off on distance over feathers. Feathers will keep the arrow stable at longer distances. Also feathers will not deflect an arrow if the fletching hits branches where vanes being stiffer may deflect the arrow.

I personally shoot vanes because I like the durability and if they brush up against my clothes they don't make a noise like feathers will. I have shot both and I have fletched both and I prefer vanes.

Oh and this is my first of many posts on this forum. I also did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night. grin.gif

Re: ARROWS

I shoot a parker, and last year I shot feathers. However this year i am shooting blazers, and they seem to be just as fogiving, more durable, and quieter. I would go with blazers if you have the option. jmo
