Where do you go for advice?

If you're Sen. Hillary Clinton, you go to Hollywood of course! The wackos out there are are lining up at $5000 each for a chance to smooze with the presumptive 2008 Democrat Presidential candidate and offer her all kinds of sage advice on how to run the county.

Yes sir, the self proclaimed elitist, Scientology practicing, Socialist loving, Queer Eye for Straight Guy dressing, Peta supporting Hollywood crowd! That's exactly who I want giving advice to the President!!! confused.gif

anyone you assosiate with will have views or beliefs that you may not agree with, kind of an unfair statement. But that is what is great about our country.

Don't you find it alarming that people who's ideas and lifestyles are so far outside that of mainstream America are in a position to greatly influence someone who wants to be, and possibly could be, our next President?

I wouldn't go to Hollywood for advice. Niether would I go to a Politician or a tele evangelist like Pat Robertson or James Dobson.

My Parents are still living so that is my first stop for advice. My Wife and my Brothers are very good choices too.

You have great options for talking to there. Family is a good place to start.

And I wouldn't go to 99% of politicians either, though either Bush is worth at least listening too.

However, the two "televangelists" you mention as being bad choices are not quite so bad. Granted Pat Robertson is a televangelist to some degree and is getting old and a bit senile, I've met him personaly and it is true, however, the majority of his ideas are wholeheartedly christian and sound advice. I would seek his advice especialy in buisness or organizational matters which is exactly what a future or current President needs.

Dr. james Dobson has no problems with senility and I do not see him as a televangelist in any way. He is a darn good psychologist especialy in the areas of child development and dicipline. He is also a great man of God and I would go to him for advice regularly if I could get him to actualy talk to me. (He is a little busy you know.) I also tried to actualy work for him (his Focus on The Family Institute) but he had no job openings at the time.

If I was a politician, the first place I'd go for advice is the Bible and to the Lord through prayer...the last place I'd go for advice is Hollywood

The President Can't run the country based on his religion. Seperation of church and state is a good thing. He CAN get his morals (there would be a big debate whether or not old Georgie has any morals, you know the alcohol and cocaine problems from his forties) from his religion. Morals should come from PARENTS and to a lesser extent the school system. The reason we don't have prayers in the classroom is that our Constitution guarantees freedom of religion to all people, even ones who are brought up with a different religion. It is a good thing. Teach your kids what religion you would at home.

Would you want your child to have sit through Jewish, Buddhist, or Muslim prayers in the classroom?
