Guest ronin
Personally, I think the Shockwaves, i.e. Hornady SST's are made for the Omega. I was a Powerbelt fan until I put a box of SST's through my Thompson Omega. Yes, they will load after the first, second and third shot though you'll have to put some elbow into it. I never lube between shots but I do clean after every second or third. The ballistics on the SST's seem to better than the PB's as is the trajectory. The SST's simply fly flatter which translates to better long range shooting. Hornady advertises 3" high at 100 yards, -2.9 at 200, and 11.1 at 250 with a 300 Gr SST and 150 Gr of Pyrodex Pellets. This advertisement is accurate.
Guest ronin
Re: Omega - Powerbelts or Sabots? Good luck...I'm interested in the differences in trajectory with equal loads of Pyro vs. 777.
