Why do the rest of you even bother going if you don't have confidence that you will get something? So you can sit and stare at your watch till its time to go? If I know I have commitments that I need to be at shortly after a hunt, I may not go out that night...why? Cause I don't have appropriate time to take care of my kill. To YoungOne, there are several good options listed above that should help you. I So disagree with that. I mean when you were a kid like me, you couldnt drag a big buck out by yourself, dont even say you did, because there is a point in all of our lives where we cannot do something, and just to quit, thats not right, and encouraging people to stop what there doing just because they cant do it all, thats not right either...Sorry if im over reacting, but thats just not right. That is almost asking to be shot at. Too many crazies shoot at sound to begin with, but would be too risky to hear something walking, see a deers head/body and "identify your target" correctly....only to miss what is actually making that target move. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with that. That was one of the main things we were taught in our local hunter's safety course to never do with a dead deer was carry it on your back. They even showed a video of a guy doing it and getting shot through the other hunter's eyes to get their point across more. So maybe, if you could just tie a rope around you and him and drag him just far enough for a truck or 4 wheeler, than tie a rope from the hitch of either over a tree limb to the deer. pull forward, and hoist him up, then tie another rope to him and pull him towards ya so when ya back up he will go strt down.
