Honesty

Well today I cashed my check and as I was walking away I realized there as $100 more than what the check was for.

Well I went back and told the person she made a mistake. I handed her the $100 and she double checked and said thank you. The relief on her face made me smile also.

Then I went to the tire place and spent $100 for a tire and having another 1 repaired.

It still made me feel proud about myself.

So always be honest. grin.gif

Re: Honesty

WTG Fred.

That happened to me a few years back. I didn't notice until I came home, but immediately took it back. 2 months later the bank called me and said "we made a mistake, we need the money back." So I told them I already returned it, showed them the receipt, and the issue was dropped. grin.gif

3 weeks ago I got a check in the mail for $780 for a blacktop job I apparently did for some woman in Westerville. Funny thing is, I don't remember doing that work. grin.gif I still have it, keep forgetting to drop it in the mail. I guess a less than honest guy might try and cash that check, eh?

Re: Honesty

Good deal...although, don't you make a mistake or they make a mistake in their fav.

I lost $60 from a Mac machine once...reciept said I withdrawled $80 (which is what I wanted) but the machine only gave me $20. They checked everything a few days later and found all "their" money came out right...they weren't ahead $60...sorry about my luck!!!!!!!!

I no longer bank with them...but I don't know if I could have been as honest since I feel they still owe me $60. That was about 10 years ago...so with interest...$100 would prob. be fair.
