markyj987
"In America it is vital that every vote count and that every vote be counted. But the outcome should be decided by voters, not a protracted legal process." This is something John Kerry said in his concession speech. Did any of you see this as a call for us just to remove the lawyers and court system from the electoral process in the future? Those words, to me, showed a sign of leadership. I doubt he will, but I hope John Kerry goes for the minority leadership position in the U.S. Senate. If he does, we will TRULY have a chance to see how sincere both Kerry AND Bush are about working together---and, of course, the Republicans in the Senate. wtnhunt
Re: Kerry quote...reaction? Really glad to see that the "obstruction" Daschle is gone. If Kerry did try to take his place, I am seriously doubtful that he would be any better than Daschle in regards to working for us.
slugshooter
Re: Kerry quote...reaction? I was surprised to see Daschle ousted, really surprised. As far as what Kerry said, I think he realizes that Americans didn't want another deal like 4 years ago, it's best just to move on, he is still a Senator for at least 4 more years, he has earned my respect, anybody who will take the type of criticism and put under the microscope for so long to run for President is a man to me. ParrotHead
Re: Kerry quote...reaction? I'm kinda wondering where he got put under the microscope at?? The media gave Kerry the pass on this election. No hard questions were asked and no explanations given. Bush however took a beating every day..... Other than that, I think he saw the writting on the wall and took it on the chin for the next guy running. He couldn't win, he was assured of that - and if he'd went down the Al Gore path of 2000, I think the American people wouldn't have forgotten so easily this time... The rare ocasions where kerry wqas pressed on any issues he would revert back to his suggestions that he was being attacked and he would avoid the questions.
