WGumz
Does anybody have the Sweet 17 scope on their .17 cal. rifle. I have been looking at them and I am close to buying one. I just would like some feedback on them, good or bad in your opinion. I was looking at the 3 x 12 x 40. Let me know what you think. hangunnr
Re: BSA Sweet 17 scope I've got two of the Sweet 17 scopes and to this point am pleased with them. I have a 2-7 on a .22lr and a 3-12 on a .22mag. I really like the ability to focus them down to very short yardages. The adjustments have been true so far. hangunnr
WGumz
Re: BSA Sweet 17 scope Thanks Handgunner for the info. I was shopping this evening and came across a deal for a Bushnell Banner 3 x 9 x 40 on clearance. 60.00 with tax to me was hard to beat. Anyway, just got it put on and am going tomorrow to get it zeroed. Thanks for the info. Wade
Reloader
Re: BSA Sweet 17 scope I had a BSA 4x(brand new for $18) on my Savage Mk II Target 22LR. Orriginaly I could keep groups off a rest at just under an inch at 100 yards. Flew to my dad's place with it in a hard case and double layered padding and when I got there it was shooting closer to 3 inches from 75 yards. The scope completely lost zero hold. The crosshairs visibly move between shots from a heavy rifle in 22LR. I will not buy another BSA scope ever. Replaced the scope with a Cabelas Pine Ridge 4x($30 from the bargain cave)and the gun shoots 1 inch groups again even after the return flight.
