Shot at a nice one tonight

Well I have hunted my butt of all weekend long and finally saw my first deer at the very last seconds of the night. I hunted Saturday morning and evening, this morning and this evening and was starting to feel downj on the situation. I had hunted my butt off for an entire week straight and had'nt even seen a deer, yet there were several scrapes around my stand. As I sat there in the waning seconds of shooting light getting discouraged, and having all these negative thoughts in my head about the deer situation a slight crunch of a leaf cought my attention. I looked to my left in a new shooting lane I cut going out 35 yards to a corn field and there he was. He looked to be a wide heavy 8-point. I drew and put the 35 yard pin where it should be and let it go. I never saw the arrow or where it hit but he bolted into the corn for what sounded about 30 or 40 yards and then silence. So I waited about 10 minutes and got out of my stand super quietly and snuck out of there. I never went and looked for the arrow or blood because I didnt want to make a bunch of noise and push him through the corn field which is probably about 100 acres. Not seeing the arrow hit or anything, I have opted to leave him over night, gather a tracking crew and go look for him in the morning after work. With any luck, he will be laying right where I heard him stop in the corn. I sure hope we can find him, he bigger than anything anybody in my family has ever shot and would be a buck of a lifetime with a bow for me!! Well wish me luck, it would be appreciated!!!
