Re: The kind of guy our President is...

Doesn't surprise me at all. Here's a story most of you probably don't know about:

Back in the spring of this year, a young boy and his granddad were walking around the farm near Moshiem (about 8 miles from Crawford). The boy slipped and fell into some deep water in a pond. The grandfather couldn't get him out, so he ran to the house and dialed 911. The Sheriff's Dept and Rescue Squad arrived in about 15 minutes. Apparently, the Secret Service monitors local emergency traffic because the next thing anyone knows, several agents show up with dive gear. They quickly reterieve the boy from the cold water and start working on him. A few minutes later a helicopter arrives with the President's personal physician on board. They rush the boy to the hospital but is was too late.

All of this happened while the President was at his ranch. Every bit of it was at his personal direction.

When they had the funeral for the boy, someone annonymously paid for everything.

(This response was in reguards to Texan_Til_I_Die.)

Come on slug don't you think that what he did was a good thing? You didn't even comment on that, instead you make silly faces! I see where swampy is coming from but I don't agree about the Mt. Rushmore. But I can see swampy's enthusiasm. Because I felt that was one of the greatest things he could have done being so close to that situation!!!

Its just one human helping out another! He just so happens to be the president, and was near by!
