Jeramie
I have a .22 rim-fire that I need to re-scope. Its a cheap ole' semi-auto so im not spending much on it. I have a Tasco Pronghorn on my ML, which is a straight 4x32. Ive spotted squirrels while deer hunting and it wasn't bad. The crashers are a little thicker then I would like for long shots but for $25 who cares.... The other option is a BSA 3x9x32 for a couple of bucks more. Do I have anything to gain by switching to a variable for squirrel? Ive literally been tree rat hunting for roughly 16 years (maybe a few more). This is the first time ive even considered a variable scope for my .22. The one that is on there now is a old weak Tasco. Its not even 4 power..... Anyway, any advice or suggestions are welcome.
