horst
Re: Shots fired!!! What would you do? Not much you can do about "hearing" gunshots.Im sure theres other seasons open, if not Im sure theres other seasons getting ready to open, in which case someone could be sighting thier guns in. Even a dead deer in a field with footprints around it dont mean much.I find dead deer all the time, I always go check em out to see what killed em.If they appear to be poached Ill call someone, otherwise Ill leave em alone.if you didnt call the game warden at the time then you shouldnt be to suprised its still going on. Swamphunter
Re: Shots fired!!! What would you do? [ QUOTE ] He said when you guys start paying my taxes and giving me $$ for the lost crop Ill stop shooting them. Unfortunately that is the attitude of alot of the CNY farmers. Of course it didnt hurt that one of his sons was a sheriff in the county. [/ QUOTE ] How did I know it would end up being the fault of the local law enforcement at some point. Did you bother to ask him if he had nuisance permits or just assume that his dirty law enforcement son was turning his back to his father committing encon violations....pretty good accusation that I would want to have some proof of before letting it run out of my mouth. puffy
Re: Shots fired!!! What would you do? It's a tough call to make knowing that this has actually occured before and now you have no proof. The best thing is to do what you can legally and at least make it known to the DNR what your suspicions are. At least they will have it on record until you have proof.
