Killer Supper

Yesterday I pulled out about 2 lbs of Tenderloin from the doe I killed about 2 weeks ago. I left them in one piece like a roast and marinaded it in milk and worcestashire sauce for about 5 hours. Then I crusted it with garlic powder, black pepper, and seasoning salt. Then I wrapped the whole thing in bacon. Put it on the grill on a piece of foil so the juices wouldn't run all out and let it slow cook with a piece of hickory in there for smoke. Let me tell you, it was the best deer anything I've ever had. My girlfriend like it too blush.gif. Might have been the best meal I've ever had. And I'm no slouch I can cook.

Needless to say I got the okay from the lady to spend more time in the woods so we can enjoy those kind of meals more often.

Re: Killer Supper

Sounds good!!!! smile.gif

We have taken an entire deer ham and sliced it open and stuffed it with onions, spicy mustard, cabbage leaves, whole link pork sausage ( the real long kind) and seasoning salt and pepper, then tied it back up with cooking string. Coated the outside with spices and rubbed in liquid smoke and baked it in the oven on 250 all night long.

The entire house smelled wonderful when we woke up and the meat just melted in my mouth.

Gonna have to try your recipe now!! I LOVE deer on the grill. wink.gifwink.gif
