huntrman Posted October 19, 2005 Report Share Posted October 19, 2005 I swear it never fails. I try to be careful at work because of hunting season and something always happens. This is what happens when you have your fingers in the wrong place and a piece of 50+lb of metal decides to shift. Needless to say...I just about wet myself. Only good thing to come out of this is, that it isn't broken, just smashed good. So I am hoping it heals up fast enough I can hold my bow for this weekend. If not, I'm sure I will find a way. Just had to post this in case anyone else wanted to vent their frustration when they do something stupid to keep them from hunting. This should be interesting. I dont even work in the shop.... I was just lending a hand... Or finger as it was. One skin graph and several stitches later i was hunting with a wad fo bandages on my left hand. Needless to say...I could NOT lower my hand below my head for several hours. The pounding was unbearable. Lost the fingernail too. Very pretty. Hope you get better soon!!! When I went to the Hospital they were going to take the finger off... Thank God I still have all 5 fingers...My hand is still not a 100% perfect, but it works... Hope it gets better soon... stevebeilgard Posted October 20, 2005 Report Share Posted October 20, 2005 Re: I swear... that's your left hand. if you are a right handed bow shooter, it shouldn't hurt. if you shoot a rifle, no problem. if you are left handed, not good. you's hold your bow in the right hand, and pull with the left. rifle trigger finger is o.k. bottom line: ouch. sorry.
