......No shot for me.... frown.gifsmirk.gif

Had a bunch of deer feeding at no closer then 50 or 60 yards of my brothers ground blind. The fall has taken its toll on the leafy cover it once had but they did not seem afraid of it one bit. We bushed it up super good and then a wind storm knocked a tree down right on it basically. Trimmed a few branches and it popped back up and had awesome cover!

The wind blew from them to me so that was not it...

Just one of those "I am here/deer are there" evenings... smirk.gifgrin.gif

Gonna try a decoy tonight. Maybe them seeing a nice fat doe hanging by the big blob of RT Gray will get one over for a sniff.

Next time stalk up closer to them, I think a ground blind is the best type of blind to use.

Not possible.

Its a 500x125 yard sized feild and the blind is about 1/2 up it but on one edge. It all slopes away from the blind so you can see really far but they can see you too.

There are literally 19 different trails they use to enter and exit the woods the back of the blind is on and facing. So you have a shot striaght out to 125 yards and with views of 250 in the right and left directions.

Once your in it, your there untiol its time to leave or to dark.

However these deer feed in this one area year round.

Its in the right spot just sometimes the deer favor on side or the other.

My brother had a button and a spike at 10 yards one evening and then 15 turkey walked by at less the 5 yards.
