RangerClay
reconditioned scope?? I see they have them at Natchez. Normally reconditioned items get the once over twice before they are put back on the shelf. Still I feel a bit leary about purchasing one. Any thoughts?? Reloader
Re: Ever buy a .... I recently bought a "Bargain Cave" Used Cabelas Pine Ridge 4x for my 22LR. It works great! If it is a reputable seller and a reputable scope you should be OK I would think.
AJ
Re: Ever buy a .... I have purchased a few of the reconditioned scopes in the past. I have a reconditioned Burris Black Diamond on my 338 Win Mag that I got from Natchez and it works perfectly. I also bought a refurbished Nikon Monarch 4-12x40, Monarch 5.5-16x44, Nikon Titanium 5.5-16x44 all reconditioned and they work perfectly. I give them a very thorough checkout when they arrived since they have a 90 day warranty. I have heard that Nikon will still repair them after that though. I submerged them for 1 hour, locked them in a set of rings/mounts that is attached to the vise and went through all of the adjustments making sure they are true. So far they are working fine.
