Squirrelhunter91
Conservation Groups Sign Bobwhite Quail Habitat Agreement SOCIAL CIRCLE, GA—The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced last week that members of the Georgia Bobwhite Technical Team, representing numerous conservation organizations, have signed a Memorandum of Agreement as a commitment to the recovery of bobwhite quail and other early successional habitat dependent species. The DNR says more than 4 million acres of habitat must be enhanced across Georgia's landscape to achieve Northern Bobwhite Conservation Initiative (NBCI) goals and reach the statewide recovery of 227,000 coveys. Tominator
Re: Conservation Groups Sign Bobwhite Quail Habitat Ag Sounds like a big job, but if successful, the quail will benefit. Quail got pretty wiped out here in Ohio in the winters of 1977 and 78.
Guest Iambenelliguy
Re: Conservation Groups Sign Bobwhite Quail Habitat Ag I wish Iowa would do more for there bobwhite populations. We get into one or two coveys a year. When my uncles were growing up, they could shoot a limit of quail a weekend. I think I'm going to contact someone about this recoverey effort.
