browning_gold_12
Re: What has happened to this place? well, here's my .02. the only reason I started coming to this site was to look at cool pics of big deer, but i kinda like the topics and discussions too. no disrespect meant to Mr. Jordan or the other guys at realtree, but they are catering way too much to the "anti's" and alienating their supporters and hunting brothers. what do you guys follow when you shoot a deer? right a BLOOD TRAIL. not heres some "sign" theres some"sign". if you lose the trail you dont say well i lost the sign, you lost the BLOOD! Also, have you ever watched a hunt on a video, and couted the guys arrows before the hunt when he first climbs in and then count them at the recovery scene? I dont like the fact that i see someone gut shoot a deer and then want me to believe that he only went "75 yards and piled up". but they are missing three more arrows from their quiver where they had to trail him up and shoot him two more times, and they lost one arrow filming the cutaway shot. but they portray it as a perfect hunt! hey guys, we are not that stupid! If you make a bad shot, thtas hunting do your best to find it and finbish it off, but dont lie to me! I shared some of these thoughts and also a few more with michael waddell at simmons sporting goods, in Bastrop LA last year. he told me that he has heard all that before. i havent bought a realtree video in 5 or 6 years because of it. not saying he is any better, because everyone has faults, but i currently support the Primos team. Wilbur will roll 'em over and show you the entrance and exit holes. they film over the shoulder with no cutaways. if they make a bad shot they tell you they did. well, i've probably got everyone stirred up but that was not my intent, just some things to think about, and once again ,Mr. Jordan, no disrespect intended sir, just lettin you know how I feel. Doc
Re: What has happened to this place? And of course there are also those who are just constantly looking for a way to be offended. The word "bash" is quite often stretched in definition way past the point of reality. Quite often, if there is a difference of opinion, I start hearing the word "bashing" being used. For crying out loud people, differences of opinion are what discussions are all about....you know..point - counterpoint. And discussions are what forums are all about. I often wonder just what value this forum or any forum would have if everyone just decided to never disagree with anything that is stated. Naturally, when things start escalating into name-calling or personal attacks about someone's character, or the attempts at foul language start, that is certainly over the line and those are cases where the word bashing really starts to apply. And frankly, I really don't see a lot of that here. If everytime someone has an opposing opinion, you start hollering "Bashing!", things are going to get real boring and quiet here and the opportunity to hear diversity of opinion on any subjects is going to get real scarce. Swamphunter
Re: What has happened to this place? [ QUOTE ] When I first joined the forums, this was a place to come in, talk to fellow hunters, bounce ideas, get advice, and just shoot the bull. Anymore around here you get people that if they don't agree with your views, or something you did or LEGALLY do, they start bashing you. It has gotten to the point that I personally don't want to reply to some topics, 'cause I know someone somewhere will just start dogging me out. If it's legal, WHO CARES!!!! This place is starting to sound like ARCHERYTALK, not the REALTREE FORUMS that I have come to love to visit. Some people here just need to relax!!! I would NEVER bash someone for killing a spike buck, button buck, or whatever, as long as it was legal!!! I may not agree with it, but hey, to each his own!!!! Okay, I think I am done with my rant for now! [/ QUOTE ] The good news is... I'm able to post pics now!!!

It was almost the same way it is now. A upgrade here, a picture post there, and everything else is the same. I tend to realize that there is hot heads in here. But I dont let it upset me. There was One where the "New Guy" was bashed. I had to step in and back him up on that one though. Learn to love, not to hate! I have learned to like alot of you. And have even met some of you in person. You all are great people. We are one big Family, and I mean big. Occasionally we will have the trouble making family member. But what can you do? puffy
Re: What has happened to this place? I've only recently joined this forum, but enjoy jawing about hunting and reading about what other fellow hunters are up to. Lifes to short to bicker amongst ourselves when we all could be hav'n a good jaw. I might be wrong , but aren't we all looking to enjoy the same things? Keep yer chin up Gator, and put the manure that's shovelled your way on the garden. .................................Hunt Smart-Eat Well
