robk
probably need to use some serious stuff to get ird of the build up you have or you could end up with some serious issues. use a good sovent and soak and workt hat barrel over and it should clear it up. another thing you can do i fyou need to is gow ith boiling water to help loosen up the build up as well rob k

hutchies
Re: Tight spot in my optima barrel I have that problem after about 2 shots with this pyrodex. I hate his powder. I have to clean it every 2 shots. I have some German powder. Gonna give it a try this afternoon.
Washi
Re: Tight spot in my optima barrel They would probably be tighter than the Powerbelts.
bigmoss
Re: Tight spot in my optima barrel I have the same issue but with the build up ring that everyone else has mentioned and yes it is a tough thing to get out, but causes what you describe the sabot will not sit tight on the pellets and gets stuck right before the end of the barrell
hutchies
Re: Tight spot in my optima barrel Yep that is the spot. I am going to try Powerbelts. I am wondering if it is the plastic jacket that is doing it.
Jeramie
Re: Tight spot in my optima barrel Hey trophy, I just shot some Hornady sabots out of my Wolf. They literally loaded twice as easy as the TC brand. Try those and see if it makes a difference! Im not sure whether it is the density of the plastic or what but they honestly loaded a lot easier. hutchies
Re: Tight spot in my optima barrel I just used the Powerbelts literally 15 minutes ago and they loaded awesome as long as I ran a cleaner and dry patch thru after every shot.
