Guest guess
We started out the day deer hunting, but there was a front moving through, the wind was from 17 to 39 mph and getting colder by the minute! We saw a few does and one decent buck.Since the wind kept changing on us we decided to move to another area and try calling coyotes! We had one come in from the totally wrong direction, almost down wind .She caught regi trying to move the camera and was now leaving fast.I couldn't get her to stop, I shot her in the back of the head at 84 yards! she weighed 36 pounds a good sized female for here! ThethirdI
Re: windy day yote 10-23-05 What state do you hunt in guess? I have always wanted to try some coyote hunting but don't know where to go around here for some action. I'm sure that they are there and I just don't see them. I have seen a few over the years where I hunt for deer and have heard them calling before sunrise. I really need to know what caliber of rifle to use and what kind of call?????????? ThethirdI
Re: windy day yote 10-23-05 I hunt in NW Ohio, and have heard many of them calling from my stand and have also seen quite a few. I took a shot at one with my bow once but missed him clean. I'll check out the link in this post and would appreciate any other help. Thanks for the info!
