VermontHunter
Re: verizon online dsl ??? Man get rid of that AOL and dial-up....There's you first problem... As for cost...by the time you figure in you ISP dial up and your phone bill it about comes to the BroadBand price anyhow... Definately go with the Verizon DSL.... you won't be sorry and you'll never go back to dial up....
Squirrelhunter91
Re: verizon online dsl ??? DSL is definetly better than dial-up, but IMHO, Opt online with the cable modem is totally better than DSL. My uncle has DSL and we have Opt Online.. There is a big diff when I use his puter than mine..
VtBowhunter
Re: verizon online dsl ??? I just went to Verizon DSL after buying this place, and, at first, it meant leaving VTel DSL which I liked, but now I'ld never switch.......I love Verizon's set up much better.........You won't be sorry. Tominator
Re: verizon online dsl ??? If you're on the internet a lot, yes, it's worth it. My home computer has some troubles, but when it's working, the DSL flies!

Nosdog2
Re: verizon online dsl ??? DSL is 100% better for internet "surfing" as opposed to dial up. If you do alot of downloading of movies, music and such spend the extra on cable modem, however DSL will be more than enough for occational downloading and internet play. Night and Day difference. Our phone company has 500 dsl but its roughly 50-60 a month and thats with a three year contract! Yuck! That is the only high speed I can get ahold of. It stinks too... HarvDog
Re: verizon online dsl ??? Broadband is definitely worth it if you do much of any work or computer work at home. I tested both DSL and Cable and decided to go with Cable. You won't believe the difference!
