bfletch7441
I got a few small plots put in in early September and I thought I'd post an update on their progress. Both of the plots are between 1/2 and 1 acre and were planted in winter wheat and austrian peas. This one is made up of two triangular areas and has a lot of grass/sand burr competition in it. I'm going to have to do something in the spring to try and erradicate the weeds before I plant it again in cow peas, but it has done good. I've seen several deer in it, and got to watch a doe and two fawns graze in it for about an hour one night. This one is fairly narrow but long, varying between 10-20 yards wide and about 200 yards long. It's done really well and I shot the 7 point, from another thread, just off of this plot. there's hardly any weeds in this one, and should be ready for something else in the spring.
