PAbowhunter86
Hey guys and gals How good of a shot should I be before trying a 3d shoot? What are the yardages I should be able to shoot? What kind of shots will there be? Can I make up a small 3d shoot in my backyard? If so how? Thanks PA

MCH
Re: few questions? 1. 3-D is for all levels of shooting, from beginner's to advance. I recommend, however, at least being able to group well out to 35 yards. Trust me on this, you'll enjoy your time more if you're not looking for an arrow at the majority of the targets. 2. Stake locations will vary from shoot to shoot. Ask someone at the shoot which class has a max of 35 yards. Usually, this is called the Hunter Class and is perfect for beginners. They also have Youth classes. 3. Expect anything. Uphill, Downhill, elevated, moving targets, brush blocking target, across ravines..You name it, you might find it. 4. Yes, you can get as elaborate as you want or as simple. Here's an example: If you've got three targets, set those targets at varying locations. Then take five stakes or markers and set those up to where you won't have a shot past 35 on any target. Then you can shoot. Stand at the first target and shoot at all three targets. Pull your arrows and proceed to the next stake. You should have 15 shots on your makeshift course.
