toddyboman
I am somewhat confussed or concerned about the number of rubs I have found this year. NOT MANY! I have several pictures of some nice bucks but I have not seen the number of rubs I generally do. I have hunted the area for many years so I know the general areas where the bucks rub, but this year not so. I have looked other places as well and just not seeing the number of rubs I general do. I have observed some bucks starting to chase, make or refreshen scrapes and even fight. Why or what might cause the lack of rubs? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. bulldawg
Re: Rubs??? This is just a shot in the dark, so to speak...but is there a high doe to buck ratio in your area? Just guessing here, but if the bucks aren't having to compete as much for the does this year, maybe they aren't taking out thier aggressions on the trees as much. Not really sure on that one, but I gave you something to think about...
