Tominator
Re: Pumpkin-Headed venison...... That's funny, but obviously, not funny all at the same time. Someone needs to shoot or tranquilize that poor thing.

Turkeygirl
Re: Pumpkin-Headed venison...... that is rediculous. I hope they catch it and get the pumpkin off. I bet it was eating the pumpkin and got it stuck. We watched deer one time come into our neighbor's garden and start chowing down on the pumpkins! Rut-Nut
Re: Pumpkin-Headed venison...... Can;t shoot it! It's in Pa. and we have a 3pt. to one side rule. You don;t know if it is a doe, sub-legal buck or legal(3pt or better) buck!!!! Well, I guess a junior hunter could shoot if he has a buck and doe tag- they are allowed to shoot spikes. Guest Andrea
Re: Pumpkin-Headed venison...... If it was really a pumpkin................I have a feeling the deer got it off. Pumpkins rot pretty fast. And that one has a very large dark spot on it anyway. If it got spooked it would probably hit something like a tree or fence and knock it off. Hope so anyway. Swamphunter
Re: Pumpkin-Headed venison...... If you look closely, it is not a pumpkin, but a clear globe. You can see water or food or mud or something on the bottom of it inside and you CAN see the deers head.

DSGB
Re: Pumpkin-Headed venison...... It's not a pumpkin. [ QUOTE ] The first call came on Wednesday, says Eric Horsh, wildlife conservation officer for Cumberland County. And Horsh came within 20 yards of capturing the deer in the vicinity of Rockledge Drive and Old School Road in South Middleton. The deer seems to have a large brown or gold plastic ball stuck on its head — a lawn ornament or possibly a Halloween decoration, Horsh says.
