rossman Posted October 25, 2005 Report Share Posted October 25, 2005 Does anybody know where I can see a "rut forecast". Or, when is the peak of the rut predicted to happen? Usually the second full moon after the fall equinox. That would put the peakof the rut, the full moon in november, around novemeber 17th? This day you should spend all day out if possible. November 16th: Full moon means midday movement. Don't bother with dawn and dusk hunts. November 19th: Hunt hard this day and get to your stand early due to weekend warriors. Hunt well covered thick areas today and be stealthy, they are on to us now. The rut doesnt seem to be starting in my area yet. I hunted all weekend and saw a bunch of does with their fawns still following behind.
