doubleA
Well I went out and bought me a couple of new toys the other day and dressed em up real nice too I think I am going to have some fun with them. Here are the only loads I had, both were using the Hornady V-Max, one a CCI and Hornady brand. I havent had a lot of time to really "shoot" these two rifles, these were 5 shot groups @50 yards. doubleA
Re: Bitten by the 17 HMR Bug....pics I had the chance to try the little 17HMR out on something bigger than a crow this morning. I dropped this fella at 114 yards with a lung shot in his tracks. It simply looked like someone jerked a rug out from underneath em. tedicast
Re: Bitten by the 17 HMR Bug....pics Sweet guns. That bug has been flying around me lately too, but I keep swatting him away. I'm wanting to get a TC Contender G2 in 17HMR.

doubleA
Re: Bitten by the 17 HMR Bug....pics Maytom, I too looked at the getting an CZ452 in the heavy barrel version but they didnt have one in stock in 17HMR. I paid $650 for the Anschutz and if I recall the CZ's were in the $340 ballpark. So far I have had these rifles for 2 weeks now and have enjoyed them. They are absolutely hoot to shoot. I was out doing some target plinking on halloween day and low an behold this crow made the mistake of landing 32 yards behind my 100 target frame. pow...thud! LifeNRA
Re: Bitten by the 17 HMR Bug....pics That top left pics of the targets is awesome! My father has one of them HMR's I might have to ask him to borrow it one time just to play around before the bug gets me too bad! LOL! Guest Bob_D
Re: Bitten by the 17 HMR Bug....pics Double A, Do you think the difference in the two guns groups are a product of the gun or the optics? I'm looking at getting a 17HMR next spring and I'd like to meke sure I get a shooter. I might just have one built fo me...who knows. I picked up a youth Rossi 17HMR single shot for my kids (4 and 5 yo) this summer and plan on starting them shooting next spring.
