ladydiehard
Well its time to harvest some does. WI T-Zone (4-day antlerless gun hunt) opens tomorrow. So I'll be hangin up the bow for a few days and hitting the woods with ole shotgun. Theres a huge doe thats been conveniently staying just out of bow range since the bow opener Sept. 17th. I've seen her and her two little ones almost every day of bow season. She knows me and my stand well...too well. Tomorrow she may make her fatal mistake. Shes been out of bow range but within easy shotgun range. I won't be in my bow stand but a different stand not far from her travel route. And a partner will be in yet another stand not far from her travel route. We'll see if we can outsmart this dominant doe.

Chrud
Re: WI T-Zone! We aren't in the T-Zone this year. If there were only the December T-Zone, I'd wish we were in it all the time. I'll be bowhuntin.

That is where I use to hunt, but still live. I'm right on the intersection of Langlade County, Marathon County and Shawano County, but live in Marathon, about 4 miles or so north of Aniwa. Ever go to Bucks N' Bulls Archery in Point? I drive all the way down there for work done on my bow. Good folks down there.

Guest rutnroy
Re: WI T-Zone! thank god this t-zone is almost over. only about 1/2 hr. left and then the bucks hopefully can settle back down for the rut. hope you had luck in getting your doe , but for me i can not stand the t-zone . our neighbors just love to tresspass every chance they can and we can not be up there to just to watch over our land. i believe people can shoot all the does they want during the regular gun season. just another dnr screw up. tezz32
Re: WI T-Zone! if you use your bow you still have to wear orange. and plus you get alot of people driving the public land around here so deer dont normallly follow there usual patterns

I hunt private land and its surrounded by more private land but people were out making drives. The deer weren't traveling the same routes at all. One of my bow stands is now useless and I'll be moving it cause the patterns are messed up after 4 days of bangin.

[/ QUOTE ] I do understand how you feel. I saw 5 different bucks during the T-Zone. Including a very nice 8 pointer. As for shooting all the does we want during regular season, that would be fine except that our area will very likely be Earn-A-Buck next year. Having shot a doe during this early season means I'm pre-qualified for next years stupid Earn-A-Buck. Theres nothing worse than having to pass up a nice buck on opening morning simply because you are required to shoot a doe first.
