tedicast
I have shot the Switchback. In my opinion it isn't a very forgiving bow. Form seems to be very critical with the SB, work on your form consistency. The SB is an awesome bow, just notthe right bow for everyone. I shot the SB and the Outback side by side. I prefered the Outback. I don't see me getting rid of it anytime soon.
bowhunt101
Re: mathews Buddy I KNOW its not the bow, check your rest and make sure it is adjusted right, also the Barracuda strings that come on the SBs arnt the best strings in the world it could still be stretching but I KNOW the SB is the best bow out there right now, getting ready to buy one at the end of this season cus I shot it in the pro shop and words dont describe it!!!!!!!! Go MATHEWS!!!!!!!!

Chrud
Re: mathews Make sure it is paper-tuned. Make sure it is in spec. Make sure you are not torquing. The reason I bolded "you" is because people that have problems with shoot a Mathews is because of their form. The grip is big and easier to torque. Make sure your grip or form isn't the problem. Gator
Re: mathews I found the OPPOSITE to be true. When I got my SB and got it home and started shooting, my groups improved dramatically

When I got my SB and got it home and started shooting, my groups improved dramatically [/ QUOTE ] My groups are slightly better than what I had with my XTEC. Some of that is the bow, and a lot is the GT Pro Hunter arrows. They are much straighter than the Easton C2's I used.

Rest was the same, release, arrows, all that. I have robin hooded 3 times since getting my SB in May, only had 2 times before in the 4 years I had my High Country

maytom
Re: mathews I picked up my Switchback a couple of months ago and was breaking nock's at the pro-shop range after getting it set-up. Love this bow!! The last bow I had was also a Mathew's, and I shot it for the last 9 seasons. Mathew's makes great equipment!! Are you sure it's set-up right for you? Most times it's the shooter, not the bow.
unioncountyslayer
Re: mathews Did you have your bow set up at a pro shop? or did you install all parts (rest, sights, etc.)? If the latter you should take it by a pro shop and have them help you out. I have also found that a single pin sight works a lot better with these new faster bows for shooting tighter groups. I have an Outback and love it!

Guest imported_ne_archer
Re: mathews Like said form is very critical with a Switchback. You have to practice same hand grip, everything. Could you possibly torqing the bow maybe at shot to? Is the draw length right for you? So many things could be your problem. I got mine and love it wouldn't shoot nothin else. tallone
Re: mathews Agree 100% with the papertune and as far as the torque goes I had problems with torqueing my bow until I got a drop away rest a drop zone to be exact and that made a MAJOR improvement to my shots grouping tight!
