Finally got one, then two!

Boy, tonight was a good night for me! (finally) With about 20 minutes of light left, I saw movement and a doe walked in within 20 yards. With her head turned and quartering to, I nailed her inside of the shoulder and she went about 20 yards and died. The arrow went out the opposite side. After watching the deer die, I caught more movement and a bigger deer came walking in. Then I saw horns. He walked over near the doe and was wondering "what the heck"! grin.gif

He then kind of circled back and gave me a perfect broadside shot at 30 yards. I hit him a little back, but perfect yardage in the gut. He only walked about 40 yards. It was dark and I couldn't see if he went down or not. After dark, I got down to look at the doe and found his blood, so I marked it and took care of the doe. I went back and picked up my son at the house (2 miles) and we got the doe in the truck. Then I showed him some about tracking. The blood was really good, and we found him dead closeby. It got liver and he bled good (mostly inside). It was a good night working them up with the boy. He's finally coming around! This is the 1st time I have stuck two together. I was sitting in the stand thinking of how I never had to wait this long in the season to get one. Then I get two! smile.gif He was 12" inside. The biggest rack I've ever stuck. It was a good night. 337735.jpg

Thats a nice buck, shot a buck almost identical to that buck last year. The high rack, 13 in, spread, white looking horns, as soon as I saw your deer, I looked up on the wall above my computer and its like looking at the deers brother. haha!

Congrats, I hope I only do half as good. HA!
