Another home made ground blind...

Just moved one actually.

This knoll has a super view of the south end of this feild and I saw all kinds of deer playing around it all October while I sat 60 yards up that edge in a pop up blind.

There use to be an old man who sat here during rifle season many years ago. He has a wooden bench and a gray tarp staked into the ground around him.

I can see why now.

Heres a pic from standing behind it.

Here is at 10 yards.

I did not bother taking them at any further away since you can barely see it with the naked eye at anything over 50 yards... cool.gifgrin.gif

Wow that is one sweet blind!!!! We made one behind our house overlooking a biologic full draw plot but aint had no deer on the plot yet so dont see a need to hunt it yet, ours is nowhere near as good as yours though so congratulations on an awsome looking blind, hope you bag one out of it soon....

Don't worry about the windows. The ones I build have much bigger openings than yours and I've taken deer at 10 yards out of them, as well as my buddy. Great Job!

Every blind I have EVER hunted out of, pop up or otherwise, had wide open windows. I never hunt threw that shoot threw netting. Just dont trust shooting threw it.

It would be nice to of been able to build a roof for it but not this season.

Maybe next summer.

Thanks for all the comment. laugh.gif

That is one of the best ground blinds I have seen, you ever bowhunt out of it? can you tell us a little on how you made it or what out of, wouldn't mind making some like that for myself!

You can see from the 1st pic how its basically made. I used cedar posts and what Luke (VermontHunter) calls "1/2 pallets".

They are nothing more then pine boards nailed together into a pallet shape.

Regular pallets should work fine but will definately need the burlap to cover the open spaces.

I used a saws-all to hog out some port holes to shoot threw and used a $9 piece of 12'x4.5' burlap from Walmart and stapled it to the pallets, brushed it up a bit with cut maple sapplings..

The blind is big enough for 2 adults easily.
