tedicast
My Encore has one of the best triggers in my cabinet. That might not be saying a lot...lol. It is just a tad heavy, but it breaks real crisp. There is absolutely no trigger creep.
Guest toytruck
Re: encore trigger jobs Have you tried adjustments with the amall screw on the rear inside of the trigger guard? I turned mine a couple of turns, (been a few years, if I remember right) and it breaks crisp now with no creap. Just a thought, might save you money! Check your TC Encore manuel I believe it details instructions on this also.
AJ
Re: encore trigger jobs The Encore does not have a screw at the trigger. The Contender does but no the Encore. The only way to adjust the weight and pull is to open the action and stone some parts and replace some springs. I have gotten mine very sweet. It breaks very cleanly at 1.5 pounds and has minimal overtravel. Dropping the gun from 2 feet with hammer back does not set it off. It's a winner! Check out Mike Bellm's site on Encore Triggers. This adjusts the overt travel in the trigger, which is the amout the trigger moves after the shot. This has no effect whatsoever on the poundage of the trigger, or the "creep" in the trigger.
