johnf
Re: Peter Jennings Did you see Ron Regan Jr. on election night msnbc. It was really kind of sad. He just didn't understand that people got and used values from a book (the Bible) He reverted to gay couples having moreal values that were equal to Christians, just different. He's one of those people who just don't get it.
dogdoc
Re: Peter Jennings it all depends on how you define morals. It is defined different by the non-believer.

ParrotHead
Re: Peter Jennings What can you expect from a French Canadian that couldn’t find it in his heart to become an American citizen until after the death of his wife, who in fact hated the US. Course, I’m sure she didn’t hate the lifestyle that came along with the job. It’s funny how so many (especially the rich) can hate the US so much but will stick around because they’re getting rich off its successes. Anyway, Moral Value is defined as Conforming to standards of what is right or just in behavior. A principle, standard, or quality considered worthwhile or desirable. Now here is where we start to derail from a simple explanation. “Conforming to standards” is no more than a realistic opinion. Your standards may not be as high as mine or vis-verses. What you feel is a “right or just behavior” I may look down upon and view it as idiotic. And desirable or worthwhile standards just add fuel to the fire in this debate. In the end, it really doesn’t matter. I believe that each man will be judged one day by a Supreme Being and we will be held accountable for all our actions and our moral values will be a part of that judgement.
