VTbowman
I have one and I tell you its an ALL DAY stand if ever there was one. Super comfortable, easy to climb and safe feeling for sure. I mean heck man its designed to sleep in for crying out loud! However, it does have its draw backs IMHO. One of which is its a pain to pack in and out. Kinda bulky, but they make a wheel kit for them that can double as a deer cart too. I have one of the original ones and I know the newer ones are lighter so that issue may be taken care of. Its not that bad but not as easy as some of the other types out there. #2, by no means can I set it onto a tree quietly. Believe me I have tried. Again not super loud but not quiet either. Once on a tree it climbs very nice and quiet. If you get one by all means get the bowhunters adapter or platform. Also a chil pad. I love mine and keep it set up in the tree like a lock on type and use tree pegs to get up and down. BEWARE! You WILL fall asleep in it. LOL (no joke, really, you will)
ThethirdI
Re: tree lounge tbmdriver, where in Ohio are you from? I have one and love it. Never had problems with bulk but I have filled all of the open tubing with spray in foam to keep the noise down. If you are not to far away it may not be a bad idea to check mine out before you buy. Just a suggestion. I would have bought mine even after checking one out but if you don't want to spend the money without seeing one up close then I have one you can check out if you aren't too far away. I too have spent many hours sleeping in mine. Not by choice but sometimes nature takes over. I have even slept in it overnight to get a jump on the next morning. You will never have to worry about falling out from the sitting position.

I do the same with mine get itup there and leave it..but then this is private property..so far so good.. I may keep it on my farm from now on..just too risky up there...but as to comfort..Yup it is all that!! a bit difficult to shoot out of, but with practice..it can be done very effectivly
VTbowman
Re: tree lounge Its super easy to use. I just had a hard time being super quiet while installing the back bars last pin (bolt). The threads on the bolt go threw the holes like a rasp. LOL Ok maybe not that loud but when your out in the dark trying to be quiet it sounds loud. To me anyways.
Guest MIhillbilly
Re: tree lounge I have one of the new lighter weight tree lounges and I can tell you it is far superior to the old one. (a guy in my camp has the old one so we did a side by side comparison) Also between myself and the other people in camp, I've had a chance to try about every type of tree stand known to man :-) Other than that like everyone else has said it has it's pro's and con's just like anything. Here's my take: Con's: 1)Heavy, bulky and harder to pack than other stands. 2)Set up is not as easy as other stands due to the weight and bulk. 3)Set up is not quiet. It's like an erector set so you've got metal and bolts clanging together. (I always set mine up prior to hunting) 4)Climbing grip. Although the tree lounge has adaquate tree griping power, I feel it doesn't have as much as other stands and is more affected by a narrowing tree since the whole stand is one straight section. Recommend the optional leveler. 5)Concealment: This thing hangs off the tree about 5 or 6 feet, which can make it tough to hide for a close range bow hunt. 6) Price: To get one with all the options you would want will likely be $350-$450 Pro's 1)Comfort: Yes you can stay all day. Yes you can actually fall asleep and not worry about falling out of the stand. 2) See #1 above....I'd much rather spend the extra time and effort setting the stand up and be able to be comfortable all day. An extra few minutes setting up is a small tradeoff for all day comfort. 3) The laid back position allows for good stable shooting (rifle) positions in nearly every direction. 4)Lay or stand: with the bow hunting adapter (highly recommended) you can stand up and strech if you get tired of you lounging position 5)Gun and Bow holders: These are better placed and handier to get to then any other stand I've seen. 6)See #1 again Sorry this got so long winded, but I hope it helps. I went through the same thing before I finally decided to buy mine.
ny_gun
Re: tree lounge I went back and forth with the Tree Lounge for several years before I bought mine. I have had it for 3 years now and absolutely love hunting out of it. Unfortunately I do not use it as often as I would like for many of the same reasons others have mentioned. The biggest being the bulk. It is just a little heavy and awkward to get in the woods and set up. However once it is on the tree it is great. When I do use it I leave it locked to the base of the tree when I am not in it. As far as comfort you can not go wrong. Especially with the bow hunting platform. It is great to have the option of standing up and stretching when you have been sitting for a while. The accessories I have are: - bow hunting platform - bow holder - gun holder - chill pad - steep angle pad I use both pads every time I am in the stand and it makes it very comfortable. So comfortable I tend to doze off for a bit.
VTbowman
Re: tree lounge I would of loved to try the newer modles. But I can't complain. I bought mine for $80 and it had both gun and bow holders, the bowhunters platform, and chill pad, plus a saw mounted to one side for trimming. I could not pass that up... Glad I didn't....
