Re: Anyone from PA seeing any birds

I opted to take the bow out for a doe yesterday...seen and heard a ton of turkey's. Yelpin', cuttin', gobblin', kee keein'...almost felt like spring time.

I tried a little calling...but was up in a stand with a bow so figured I didn't have alot of hope getting one in close enough to draw and shoot.

I have been seeing them for the last two outings, last week about 20 birds. All doing what snapper said too! This past weekend my father got a hen. We had supper over at their house tonight, guess what was for dinner! LOL! First time I ever had wild turkey, it was good too!!!

No. frown.gif

My dad, brother and wife's uncle covered the Strut10 Ranch and more on Saturday........to the tune of about 500 acres........and saw ZERO turkey sign. My wife's uncle is retired and in the woods all the time. He hasn't seen any turkey sign since archery came in 4 weeks ago. confused.gif

I give up. confused.gif

Got into a flock on saturday, had 3 twelve year old boys with me. Called a few back together, but 12 yr. olds don't sit still very good. Heard quite a few alarm puts leaving the area. LOL, by the way I worked all day tues. and today. THink I'll hunt in the morning, I'm worn out.
