buckee
I started out hunting with a PSE Polaris about 12 years ago. I loved my bow and got many deer with it. PSE makes fine bows. The old Polaris is a bit heavy, but when you've never held one of the newer lighter bows, it doesn't mean anything at all. Use it and shoot a few deer with it, and then if you decide you absolutely love bow-hunting, then you can up-grade to a newer, lighter bow. bowhunt101
Re: PSE Polaris I started witha Fred Bear Whitetail Edition that had already been wore out twice and then I moved up to a Browning Xcellerator (also really old but in good shape until about a month ago when it exploded), and browning is made by PSE I believe and it was a really good shooting bow until I shot a Mathews SB and then I was hooked........ Go out and kill a few deer with it until you figure whether you are hooked or not and then go upgrade to a truly awsome bow such as the Switchback or Parker Pheonix........-tim
