mathews4life
This weekend i shot at a rabbit and missed. My broadhead just stuck in the ground in some soft dirt. How much do u think it will dull the broadhead or do u think it'll still be sharp enough to shoot a deer? just want some opinions

Canuck2
Re: Quick question What buckee said! Always use only razor sharp broadheads for deer. The difference in penetration between a really sharp one and one that has made an innocent trip into soft dirt will be substantial - and could well make the difference between collecting a deer and having one get away with a nasty injury. Chrud
Re: Quick question [ QUOTE ] No ands, ifs or buts about it...clean it up and sharpen it.....seriously [/ QUOTE ] Exactly. Even if I take one shot on a target, I run the sharpener over it a couple times.
VTbowman
Re: Quick question [ QUOTE ] I would clean it and sharpen it, never can hurt to be safe! [/ QUOTE ] Ditto. Washing off and definately resharpen it. NO excuse not to have it as sharp as possible if your plannig on using it on live game. Squirrels, rabbits, or deer IMHO.
