VTbowman Posted November 6, 2004 Report Share Posted November 6, 2004 Just got back from lunch and saw that someone has written on my tail gate, in the dried mud: "BAMBI KILLER" In about 2" letters, about 1.5 foot long. I feel like I have been hit by a hate crime... So I wrote back on my tail gate for all to see: "Yep-They are the best tastin' ones..." This is the 1st time I have encounterede any ANTI activities. Unfortunately there are over 6000 people who work in IBM here. They do have sercurity cameras on the parking lot but my luck would be they did not catch it on tape. It may of been there for days too. There are tons of tree-huggers that work for IBM here in VT. Plus I do not hide the fact I am a hunter either. I wear camo in the heat of summer... LOL I have an arrow over my trucks antenna, and a lot of dried blood on the bumper from helping a neighbor who hit a deer with his truck. I field dress all my deer right on my open tailgate so I get it kinda messy sometimes. LOL Judging by the size of the lettering, and style, it looks like it was done by a small female. Yes I watch CSI every chance I can get. LOL I just hope it aint the one I think is smokin hot that works here... Shes the kind of gal that could make a guy sell all his guns...!!!! (I think) Its an old aluminium arrrow I just pulled out the insert out of and slid it over the antenna. It would look nicer if the arrow shaft was as long as the antenna but it looks cool to me. The nock and vanes are at the top. I had pics of it but photobucket dumped all my pics a few weeks ago, and I haven't taken the time at home to upload to RT site yet. Sorry. One of the locals asked if we saw anything this morning and we both said a few but no shots then some out of town gal from CA, who was NOT in the conversation, turns around and said "must feel pretty big being a bambi killer". After refraining making a scene and going off on her, I simply said 'no mam, we do not shoot Bambi's...it Bambi's grandpa we're after...now mind your own business". I work in St. Louis and the city folks and yuppies there give me crap all the time about hunting and how cruel it is...blah...blah..blah, yet they are the first to pipe up wanting the deer killed because they just hit one in their new BMW or because they bought up a bunch of woods and the deer are now eating their expensive landscaping. FUnny thing was, when I asked him one day if he was vegetarian he said "No". I pointed out that the only difference between the 2 of us was that he PAYED for someone to kill his meat, and I took care of that myself!!!!
