poaching is still poaching - doesn't matter if a deer is taken during illegal shooting hours, or if it is poached out of season completely - your friend is a poacher, plain and simple

It is a shame that there are people who dont respect what hunting is all about. Doesn't he understand it just not killing an animal. Its everything that goes into it. As hunters we all tend to be a little conservative an not bring unwanted attention to ourselves. Guys like this give all of us a bad name. I would serisouly consider reporting him even though he is a friend.

Get the DNR involved, they have a way of taking people aside getting a story, then taking another person aside and getting their story, sooner or later these stories will conflict and this loser will get busted.

You owe it to all the legal hunters out there in this world and especially to the ones in Oklahoma who could have had a chance at shooting this monster in legal shooting hours.

You have to turn him in Ryan, its the right thing to do!! He's ruining your states hunting!!

I don't know how the law works there, but in Texas the Game Warden does not have to see anything happen to make an arrest. He has the deer and that is sufficient evidence. It does make the prosecution a little more solid to see it . I would turn him in. I once found several doe carcass's that were left by some poachers and called the Game Warden, he found out who did it and made 5 arrest's and convictions. The great state of Texas sent me a $350 dollar reward check. Here a Game Warden carries alot of weight, they do not have to obtain search warrants and carry more authority than any other law enforcement agency, they mean business. Turn the idiot in.
