Turkeygirl
So I wento ut this morning before classes to try and find some turkeys I thought I heard last night while deer hunting. didn't hear anything but found some footprints of boots, making me think the stupid neighbor was in the woods. Well I'm walking up this trail heading home when I spook a turkey. i didn't fly away, just trotted away from me into the woods. I sat there for 45m inutes until I had to leave, calling but no response. I'm planning to go back to that spot this afternoon around 4pm when I get home. Do you guys think this is a good thing to do? I think it was by itself but i'm not sure. Any tips would be appreciated.

hutchies
Re: Turkey! Yep like jbeck said don't get too aggressive. We are not even near mating season but they will still respond as long as you don't overdo it.
Turkeygirl
Re: Turkey! Well I didn't have time to go out tonight. I'll go out tomorrow morning before classes if i'm not too tired. Should I just hang out in that area in the morning? I figure I'll try to get in there as the turkeys are maybe roosting around there....
