Tom2008
Well got one the first weekend. Out of 5 of us I was the only one. My 3rd buck out for 4 years of hunting. Got out at about 5:45am. It was a really dark day with rain. I was usin a primos doe bleat call( "The Original Can") every 15-20 minutes from 8:00 to 9:15am. At 9:30 I look to my left and out comes a really good sized spike at about 80 yards. He turned right away comin straight for me. At 70 yards I had no other choice so I put up the gun aimed at the head. BAM! He dropped right down and then rolled over and kicked for about 5 minutes. 10 minutes later I go over and check to make sure he was down. I go and look where I hit and it was dead on right between eyes and it came out he neck. He weighed about 180-190lbs. Im going to do a european mount for him. Here are some picts. My stand Scrape I found under my stand after I got him. Pic of him and me Ready to get out of the woods. Good pic. of the size of him The shot http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/9035/becb52720cg.jpg

dogdoc
Re: Success congrats on the deer but I won't congratulate you on the shot selection. It worked for you this time but a shot I would never take or recommend. An unethical shot in my book! BTW--I really like that ATV deer cart. todd
Tom2008
Re: Success I didn't want to aim for his head, but he was comin straight towards me and fast and was only 70 yards away.(probably less) I made sure I had my gun sighted in though just in case I had to make a shot like that.
