RangerClay
Hi Guys, When I was hunting on Sunday I noticed that my 1 year old Georgia hunting boots were leaking. Upon inspection I found that I had worn a 1" crack. Time for some new boots I have always wanted a pair of Muck boots but I have a different question then what has been asked in the past. When we hunt in the southern tier of NY we do a lot of deer drives. We are pretty much walking all day so I normally buy uninsulated boots to keep my feet from overheating. Will Muck boots be too warm for this style of hunting? Ranger
Gator
Re: Muck Boots Question Hmmm, how cold of weather will it be when doing a drive, and how long will a drive last? They do get hot after walking awhile, I will say that. I have found that by pulling the tops down, my feet will cool off somewhat. If you are walking in the snow or through alot of water, they will be hard to beat though

I've had years where I trudged through a foot of snow everyday, others just a sweatshirt. This year is leaning towards the warm side. Our next season starts Nov. 19th this year. Generally temps are in the 30's in the morning and if there is no snow it will warm up into the 40's. This last weekend was a scorcher, warmed up to a blazing 60 degrees. Will my feet overheat if the weather gets up to 50 degrees? And to answer your other question, I walk almost all day. Thanks for the input Gator Ranger
Gator
Re: Muck Boots Question They very well may get a tad warm in 50 degree weather. I have yet to find a good warm weather sock for mine. I do wear them from Oct 1 thru Jan though.
