Canadian_Shooter Posted November 7, 2004 Report Share Posted November 7, 2004 well guys i dont know wat im going to do this season for hunting..im not old enough to hunt bymyself and when ever i want to go over to my fathers to do somthing like set snares today..which never happened...we get in an arguement...seems to me im not wanted there to much .. so this hunting season isnt looking good for me...first year year i can deer hunt doesnt look like thats gunna happen..my uncle only goes in to the camp on the weekdays when im in school...so unless i find someone to go with looks like i wont be doin any hunting this year... I don't know how strict your parents are, but I am going to allow my son to take the day off school to hunt this Wednesday IF he knows all his spelling words for the week, gets all the homework he will miss Wednesday AND finishes it all before he is to take the day off from school. Maybe you could maturely present this idea to your parents and see if your uncle could take you in to camp with him for a day. As I said, I don't know the specifics about your personal situation, but make sure your attitude and actions aren't contributing to these arguments with your father. A lot of times we can be our own worst enemies! I pray you will get to hunt this year, especially when you have waited so long to be old enough to go! It sounds like your parents are divorced and I have been where your at. If I could offer you some advice it would be one,don't weaken, persistence and perserverence and two very deadly hunter qualities, secondly, don't 'lose it' when things don't come together. I have been in your position and good things come to those who wait....my fist buck was a well earned 5x5 scoring 152B&C. By the way, I am 33 yrs old and still had a fit when my Dad bailed on our elk hunt this year. I went scouting with friends instead and nailed a nice bull opening morning.
