Dogs, who has them and what kind.....

Well, if Nut sees this post, maybe he can post a picture of my old dog Jake. Jake is an English Setter, and he was a good dog. Trouble I had was that over the years there have been more deer running around than birds, so most of my free time has been devoted to deer hunting. I got lucky for sure when Nut took me up on my offer to sell Jake.

I also had a Brittany, Trixie, but poor Trixie died of kidney cancer at the age of 5.

My uncle always had German Shorthairs. He's had 4 I think, Lady, Trixie, Bandit, and finally Penny.

I hunted behind Penny for almost 10 years.

I hunt rabbits... I have 3 beagle dogs. AL is about 9 years old, blind in one eye and still tracks with the best of the other two. Leo another beagle who is probably 3 years old. Good dog to have as a hunting buddy and a pet. Protects our home from other animals and people. Then the last but not least my baby Molly Jo. She's about 2 years old (in heat right now) we have her pinned up with AL. Molly has gave birth to 2 litters already and the pups have become great hunting dogs to my hunting buddies.

Black Lab (tucker) and an English Setter (izzy) the setter is the older at seven while the lab is 2 and still a bit bull headed. Growing up did my shooting over a Springer and a mutt springer setter mix.

The latter had the best of both worlds down, he would flush pheasents but work quail like a souther-gene setter.
