popgun
Keep leaning toward that Ruger 10/22. It's one of the best out there. You won't regret it. You should be able to get a decent scope for it and still keep the price around your $300. mark. .....popgun
David_218
Re: Advice on new .22 I own a T/C Rimfire Classic, which I found to be an excellent autoloader. They run a bit higher then $300 but worth the money.
too_pointer
Re: Advice on new .22 Welcome to Realtree Rimfire I also agree on the 10/22. They are the best bang for your buck It is so great being able to improve on it when you want to. too_pointer
tedicast
Re: Advice on new .22 I also have to agree. If you are looking for an auto loader .22, you can't go wrong with the 10/22. I have had one for over 20 years. I can't even imagine how many rounds have been through it. I have never had a jamb, or any malfuncion at all for that matter. Buy the 10/22...you won't be sorry. AJ
Re: Advice on new .22 The Ruger 10/22, Marlin 7000, Rem 597, T/C Classic are all good guns. The 10/22 is the most popular for aftermarket upgraded parts. The 597 is quickly becomming a popular gun to upgrade. Anyone will serve your purpose.
