Hillbilly
Re: Monday night football [ QUOTE ] i think they have a legit shot at a perfect season. [/ QUOTE ] So do I muggs... The two teams that will give them a harder time than what the Pats did will be the Bengals and Pitt. Pitt and Colts are on Monday Night Football in two weeks. Hillbilly
Re: Monday night football Its a big win for us, but the game didn't seem very interesting... I wish Rodney Harrison was back and all the other PATS defenders. That would have been more exciting.

I wish Rodney Harrison was back and all the other PATS defenders. That would have been more exciting. [/ QUOTE ]So do I, but not for the same reason. We need them in every game if we want to have shot at it, and if we do make it to the playoffs we definatly need them. [/ QUOTE ] The Media said the monkey is now off their back, I don't really think it is. I mean look what they had last year and now lost this year, makes a big difference. I'm not saying we would have lost the game last night, but it would have been closer and more exciting to watch. I think 1/2 of the monkey is off our backs, but come next year or the playoffs this year when they have Seymour back it might be a tougher game. Also with the new rules about touching the reciever before the ten yard line really got to the PATS, because thats what they like to do. Cinncy and Pitt will be a hard game to win. VtBowhunter
Re: Monday night football I hate to say it, but I told everyone before the season started that the Pats would not be the same as in the past after Weis and Cronnell left to coach other teams. I don't think it's the lack of players that is hurting the Pats........it's the lack of leadership from the coaching staff. I can't wait for the Steelers/Colts game........Pittsburgh gets a chance to knock off thier 3rd undefeated team late in the season in the past 2 years (Pats and Eagles last year). James7xChamp3
Re: Monday night football They miss the coaches, but it's definitely the loss of so many key players that is hurting them this year, especially with the schedule they have... Our secondary is basically non-competitive this year. And Harrison and Seymour are huge losses. But, even so, there were some positives last night. Brady had a solid game. They protected him very well against a tough defensive line. We scored 21 points on a defense that only allows 12/game.The defense held James to 3 yards per carry ....he averages 5. It would've been a much tighter game if Cory hadn't fumbled just before the half ended. Most likely would've been tied up 14 all. Hey, had to find some positives! Oh, and we still lead the division. If it can't be the Pats representing the AFC the Colts would be my next choice. Definitely a solid team and fun to watch. Congrats to the Colts! VtBowhunter
Re: Monday night football Mick, you have got to be kidding me........The coaches are the reason the teams get where they are......you said it yourself, they "Strategize"......players are payed to carry out the plays the coaches devise. .....and the Steelers hold the edge over the Bengals.....After the Steelers beat the Browns this weekend, the Bengals and the Steelers will have the same record and the Steelers hold the tiebreaker. VtBowhunter
Re: Monday night football Drew Bledsoe was the reason they got the first one. Without him they never would have beat the Steelers in the AFC title game.
buckbuster11
Re: Monday night football Thats a big win for the Colts I guess...but they really had no business even coming close to losing that game. The Pats just arent the same, especially in the secondary. Looks like that Colts/Steelers Monday Nighter in a few weeks could decide the AFC at the top. Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
Re: Monday night football Breakthrough, I stand corrected, I thought we (Denver) played the Dolts in regular season. I think the two teams will play but I don't think (unfortunately) it will be in Denver. The Broncs are much better defensively this year than last. The Colts stomped the crap out of us the last two playoffs. This years Colts remind me of Denver when they won their second Super Bowl. Dominant. If I were to bet, I would bet on the Colts to go all the way. BeanMan

[/ QUOTE ] If you let him play he'll set an example to other football players that they can whine and talk negative things about their team. If you let him play he will do something worse. It seems to me he wants out of Philly and the Eagles gave him that option. He loves when the media is all about him, look what he did he got Jessie Jackson to represent him. You know that'll get a lot of media in on the case. I don't think the eagles wwould have been in the playoffs with or without T.O.
