HUNTING TIP(tampon scent wicks)

Some of you may have seen the post in the lounge that ksm posted about using tampons as scent hangers.

I use them myself and they make great scent hanger when combined with a film cannister.

Get the shortees, poke a hole in the lid of the film cannister for the string and your set to go. It takes quite a bit of scent to get them to swell up large enough to hold themselves in the cannister for hanging but they are good to go and reusable.

Chrud I got a buddy that feels the same way. We stayed at his house one weekend and we both had to go to wal mart for the ladies. By the time I made it to the register he was already back at the truck with the stuff under the seat of the truck and when I came out he was like get in lets go. I almost fell over laughing. I grew up with 3 women in the house. Now I have a wife and 2 daughters. It is simply a part of life.

Well I bought more today, because I only had two left from last year. Of course my wife works there and had told all her girlfriends that I was coming in to buy some.

Dang girls.

I had 3 girls from my wifes department helping me find the best scentless ones. Wasn't that sweet of them. Got what I was looking for though, so I'm a happy camper.

Hey, I didn't put this post here to be dirty or funny or anything like that. These things are cheap, and works great. The film cannisters can be gotten in the photo/audio department by the box-full too. Just ask.

Take a small zip lock sandwhich bag for the walk in and out.

Had never put holes in the cannisters either, but think I will now.

Lot cheaper for a generic box of tampons than some of the scent wicks in your local hunting store. I have done that in the past, thanks for posting that buckee. Works great and is super affordable so you can have mutilple scents to try!!

Not sure what the ladies would say if you should up in the store aisle dressed in camo and you asked them questions on which ones worked better!! LOL!! smile.gif

i do it all the time. They work great for drags. Hook your string on to the string, then hang on branch when you get there.

i go get one, then my wife says, "don't use thoughs ones" Why? "they are the expensive ones" LOL

Sounds like something you'd see on "Blue Coller TV" Larry the Cable Guy standin' in the isle at Wally World asking all the women in the store.....
