StillLearnin
Well after patterning my gun a couple of weeks ago i decide i need a better choke. I patterned at 30 yards with all three chokes useing 4,2,1,BB,T. I got good 24" patterns with 4's and 1's out to 30 yards but the larger shot sizes just aren't working for me. I like to shoot 2's at ducks and BB or T at geese depending on the day but neither want to pattern well out of my gun. So any suggestions on a choke tube, what would you do? coles
Re: Choke tube selection this weekend i shot a swan and i used my benelli super black eagle with an extended range patternmaster choke tube. the swan was about 40 yards away and with #2 shot all the pellets hit it in the head and neck. so i am really impressed with the patternmasters. im going to get one for my benelli 20 ga. and my extrema. robk
Re: Choke tube selection there are several custom chokes you can get to help you out in patterning your gun. briley and even chokes are made by some of the hunting show companies or have them made for them and to their specs. if i remember right both real tree and primos had some chokes they have done for their guns which is ideal for both ducks and goose hunting rob k also there aree several custom companies that put out specialty chokes just for what your wanting . they will also add some length on your shotgun which shoud help with your distance as well rob k

double_drop
Re: Choke tube selection for geese i bought a 29.99 dollar carlson extended long range choke tube. I shoot either 1's or bb's at geese all the time. It works great. Have about a 3 foot spread at about 55 to 60 yards. It is a long and short range killing choke that is for sure.
